Hello, my friends! I feel like I haven't posted in forever! Last week I had my family over and so I took a little break. : ) Anyways, today I'm back with a post for Stamp TV's Monday Challenge: Christmas In July. And what a refreshing theme it is in the middle of a HOT summer!
Here's my card:
I used coordinating design paper (DP) from a K&E Company Christmas stack. To bring out the poinsettia, I stamped it on sparkly red paper (the sparkle doesn't show very well on the picture). I used Versa Mark ink to stamp the flower as I heat embossed it in gold. I then cut out the flower and placed it on the cardstock framed in the same red as the poinsettia.
The sentiment is also heat-embossed and I added some sparkle on the circle by layering gold paper lace and adding gold ink to the DP.
This post really got me thinking: Christmas will be here before we know it! Better start building up that stash of Christmas cards!
If you're looking for more Christmas inspiration, don't miss July's blog hop at Card Crafty Club. For details visit: Blog Hop with Sean and Regina. Along with the inspirational hopping is the chance to win Blog Candy! They will be having a blog hop every month so there are lots of opportunities to get inspired and win! I will be participating on the blog hop for the month of August so stay tuned!
Have a bright day!
