Grateful

Hello!  Hope you're enjoying the weekend!  It's been kind of wet around here but I am enjoying the weekend nevertheless.  Today I am posting for Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger, Autumn Awaits.  Here is the trigger:

First impression when I saw this picture had nothing to do with card making…  It was:  'Wow, she's really skinny!'  LOL   I kept looking to see if it was some kind of optical illusion because her waist seems sooo tiny!  Oh, well…  Back to card making -  focus!

I really liked the vibrant colors.  I never would have thought of that combination but then again, that is what I like about these triggers:  they open your eyes to new things.  With the color palette in mind, I created this autumn card:

It is very clean and simple and to give it some dimension I mounted the leaf squares on dimensional foams.  To balance the sentiment with the rest of the elements, I kind of followed the pattern of the leaf squares so I placed it at the bottom, off to the left, to balance with the square to right.

And that is my card for today!  Thanks for stopping by.

Have a bright day!
Aixa

  1. A great card. I love the clean abstract design. The use of kraft for the leaves is nice idea. What stamps did you use please.
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog

    1. Hi, Skye! Thanks for commenting on my card! The leaf stamp is from Gina K Designs 'Sunkissed Autumn' set and the sentiment is from GKD 'Fall Foliage' set.

  4. I think you did a great job using the inspiration of the photo. I agree, she does look pretty skinny. I find it very hard to do CAS cards. Thanks for becoming a Follower of my blog, and I've also started following you.
